There is a whole world of literature out there just waiting for you to discover it. As it's the 21st Century, this has never been easier, and there is so much in libraries and out there on the internet that you can read for FREE!
Task
Visit Project Gutenberg, or ask a grown up to create an Amazon Kindle Account for you. Select a free classic book to read online.
Day 2
Choosing the right book for you
Whether you are a reading expert, just finding your way or struggle to discover books that you like, today's video will give you some top-tips to find perfect books to keep you entertained over the summer break.
Task
After watching the video, highlight some books from the summer reading list that you may like to borrow from a library or perhaps ask a grown-up to buy for you!

'Malamander' author, Thomas Taylor, discusses his books and gives some top-tips on how to become a successful writer. He also shares some secret information about some of the things that will happen in future Malamander books!

Joining and using your local library
Libraries are amazing places! Not only can you find, borrow and read books, but you can also get expert advice to help you choose the right book for you. And the best bit? Libraries are completely FREE!
Task
Visit your local library. If you are already a member, choose some books to borrow and take home. If not, become a member and choose some books to borrow and take home!
