SPaG - Word Adaptations

SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) is a phrase you will often hear from teachers when talking about your child's work in English. In the 2nd of our SPaG explanatory help sheets for parents, we simplify the English word adaptation strand of SPaG so you can clearly see and understand what your child is being taught in this area. The four areas covered are words from abroad, diminutive words, gendered words and abbreviations. Next week, we will explore figures of speech in more depth.

We hope you find it useful and remember: if you would like a little extra support for your child’s Maths and English please do have a look at RocketLearn or contact us so we can talk you through how we can help your child.
